Especially when training with high volume sets of light weights, plates can slide along the barbell forcing you off balance if they're not secured firmly.

The quick-lock mechanism makes it quick and easy to take collars on and off your barbell. We've chosen a simple black design with a small colour flash on the clasp needed to unlock and secure the collar.
